Joy Is in the Simple Things

Came across this when searching for wedding poems for my MC speech this Saturday (yikes!). I like it!

Joy is in the simple things: touching,
Embracing, chattering on for hours about nothing,
Sure of your place within another's heart.
Simple things: like coming home knowing
Exactly where the treasure lies; like being
At ease with what you do and who you are;
Needing what you already have; accepting,
Desiring what you have been given; feeling
The gratitude of someone who is loved;
Investing goodness instead of money; giving
For the pleasure of giving pleasure; seeing
Fortune come to take you in its arms.
All this joy is yours for the price of loving,
Not only well but long, days of willing,
Years and years of wise and patient love.

If only the simple things in life are simple and easy to find too.

Surreal

I've been back for slightly less than 24 hours now. It feels surreal, almost like I've been plopped down in a completely different world! But all is good, and I'm glad I'm home. Visited my grandparents today, and gona go to my cousin's house soon to help plan and prep for her wedding next Sat.

It's so hootttttttttttttttttttttttttt here!

Over the clouds I go

Camp at Cypress Hills was awesome! God spoke to me regarding a few things, mainly about surrendering my life to Him. I was also struck in awe of His faithfulness to me throughout the past year, and He also convicted my heart about the vision of being a Navigator: a labourer for Christ. So that is in a nutshell of things He was teaching me over the 10 days camp. Aside from that, camp was great, meeting new and old friends from different Universities across Western Canada and of course, the outdoorsy stuff! I went horse back riding, and my horsee was indeed a naughty one, he nearly threw me off his back! Mountain/Hill climbing was also quite nice!

So anyway, I'm flying back to Malaysia in six hours' time, and I'm not prepared at all! Not packed and feeling kinda sad to leave, which is totally weird.

Anyways, tata!
