Grace, I think these is a lot more involved in business skills than man/woman... There might be correlations that would make results point into a direction that is not the actual cause. Let's say for example that the man is really handsome, and is trying sell something to a girl... well, he might have way more chance than if an ugly man is trying to sell that thing, and if a woman, pretty or ugly is the salesperson.

Now, looking from my own family, my mom is often the one opening the door, but as soon as she realizes he is a salesperson, she sends my dad because he is better able to say "No". Therefore, my dad wouldn't be more tempted by a guy, handsome or ugly, or by an ugly woman. If there is a pretty woman, well he isn't tempted either, since he has 5 pretty women in the house.

So what I would conclude, is that either there aren't very many handsome salesmen, or else the majority who talk to salespeople are men. :P Get it?

Athen,

Then you should read those findings and see if the statistical component is reliable.

My dear Joliane, this study is strictly studying men vs women performance in the investment field -- i.e. the buying and selling of equities/shares of a company. There is statistical significance in the field which shows that men trade shares (volume) more than women, are more aggressive and overconfident. All of these factors significantly show that women perform better than men traders. Other conclusion would be that trading more may not be a good investment strategy.

I agree, and disagree.

Both men and women are good are at trade and both totally suck at it.

Go figure. =)

Facts not needed.. just common sense if you asked me. =P
